Take a quiet afternoon in Melbourne’s Fitzroy Gardens, a team of wedding talent and you have this Blossoms & Dreams avante-garde floral inspiration shoot! Creating three different looks the shoot combined avant-garde style fresh floral pieces with dramatic gowns.
We teamed up with Katie Kav Photography, The Girl In The Green Scarf, Good Grace & Humour, Rabbit Hole Designs and Bronte & Tillie from Brazen Models. The team worked to create a shoot that although had some drama and dreamery, allows a bride to take inspiration from the shoot and use it in her own way.
Photographer Katie tells, “The inspiration for this shoot came from a WB Yeats Poem “The Cloths of Heaven”.
Had I the heaven’s embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light;
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams. ”
We will be featuring this shoot in 4 parts, We’ve featured the first 3 parts in our blog. Keep an eye out for the 4th part in the coming week x
This full shoot was originally featured on Polka Dot Bride.
